It can also highlight different diseases and conditions that may require more NHS investment. This is an opportunity for each of us to help the NHS provide high quality care for all.

Appointments

Patients are encouraged to register for EMIS ACCESS.  Appointments can be made for GPs & ANP online in advance and for next day appointments from 18:30pm the evening before, this will save early morning telephone calls to the surgery, please note the appointment will only be 10 mins therefore if you require a longer time with your GP please telephone the receptionist.  Please do not request a GP appointment when another HCP could deal with your problem. There are a mix of morning or afternoon appointments available.

Appointments for Nurses & Health Care Assistants are not available on line due to the different procedures they undertake requiring preset appointment lenghts of 10, 20 or 30 minutes.  Please phone for an appointment.

On a Monday & Tuesday ANP Linda Haste will triage the calls if you telephone for a same day appointment.  The receptionist will take your details and Linda will telephone you back within 1 hr.  Linda will deal with your problem by making an appropiate appointment with a healthcare professional, this may be a GP, ANP or Nurse, HCA face to face appointment or a telephone consultation.  If she is able to resolve the problem while on the telephone she will.  This is proving very popular with patients because they know they will be dealt with without the need to keep calling.

If you need to telephone for an appointment:

Please telephone for a same day appointment before 10am, although priority will be given to emergency cases we will endeavour to offer an appointment within 24 hrs with a healthcare professional. There are some morning appointments available to book in advance, if you wish to book ahead please telephone AFTER 10am. Please give our trained receptionist an outline of your problem so that she can find you an appointment with the most appropiate person and for the right length of time. Afternoon surgery is by appointment only. Booked appointments can be made for reviews and non urgent problems.

You can also book a telephone consultation with a GP or Nurse.  Please note that all telephone calls are recorded.  If the GP decides that you should visit the surgery they will make an appointment for you later that day or within 48hrs.

We offer late night booking every other Thursday from 18:30 - 20:00, Nurse Janet is available until 19:00 every Thursday.

If you are unable to make a same day appt with the GP and you consider that your ailment cannot wait, then please ask the receptionist for a telephone consultation with the GP or an appointment with the improved access scheme if you are happy to be seen at another practice in the CLICK federation.

Register at the practice for PATIENT ACCESS in order to make/cancel appointments online and order repeat prescriptions, have access to your medical record or aspects of it.

If your problems could be dealt with by telephone, tell the receptionist and she will arrange for the GP to call you back at a convenient time.  Make sure the telephone number you give is correct.

At very busy times we may ask for a GP, ANP or Nurse to call you back if this happens please give a number that you can be contacted on for the next 2 hrs.

Please phone and cancel if you are unable to attend.
